Hope--Breast Cancer Awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Leah McCullough created this amazing project of different pictures of individuals from across the grid in hopes of raising awareness. Each picture is so captivating.

When she announced on plurk that she was in need of individuals to pose for pictures, I couldn't turn down an opportunity since this important cause to me personally.

A Necklace a day....

Makes a girl happy!!!

With all the events going on in SL right there, there are quiet a few ways to stumble upon some really amazing work. Call for Couture, the Jewelry Fair, hunts, the different sales...it's really endless.

All of these releases are new from *ICED* and can be found at Call for Couture and the Jewelry Fair.

Call for Couture runs through Oct 31st showcasing 185 brands with new and exclusive items. Half of the profits from the couture(auction) items will be going to UK registered charity The Samaritans. (www.samaritans.org Reg charity number: 219432). There are also pret-a-porter items. The Maddy necklace is the *ICED* pret-a-porter item. You can get this beautiful necklace *ICED* @ Call for Couture.

The Jewelry Fair started on the 8th and runs through the 17th. These are just a sample of pieces you can get. All the necklaces are from *ICED* and can be found here .

Pretty in Pink

I meant for this to be sooner....like Saturday morning, not this late on Sunday night. I still wanted to post the pics and hopefully you can still get the items, even if it isn't at the TOSL prices.

Although TOSL this week wasn't a charity event, it was based on Breast Cancer Awareness. The theme was Pretty in Pink with lots of items in Pink. A few items donated the lindens of the purchase to either Making Strides or the American Cancer Society.

This is the new release from INDI Designs. The outfit is very detailed like all of the outfits. It comes with the option to wear the sweater/blouse or just the blouse. I picked the red/black combo only because I wanted to wear my black BAX boots with it but there was a Brown version and also a Pink version.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Think Pink. Save the Ta-ta's. Feel your boobies. Hey even touch your partners or your friends.

After all, touching them is all for a good cause. October 2010 is Breast Cancer Awareness. An important month to remember that BOTH men and women need to check their breasts...so strip off that shirt and go to town.
